Newly refurbished market officially reopened

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to officially reopen the refurbished market on Friday 28 August.

Holding the ribbon were Cllrs Gittins and Pardoe, Leader and Cabinet Member for Regeneration respectively, and cutting the ribbon were the market’s oldest and newest traders – Steve from Steve’s Cards and Dave from Robinson Nicholls King. Thanks also to the Mayor of Ellesmere Port, Cllr Stockton and local MP Justin Madders for also attending the event alongside the project team, architect AHR, and contractor, F Parkinson and project managers Gardiner Theobald.

Thanks to Ellesmere Port Collective for hosting a fantastic opening weekend of free events in the Flea Market to celebrate the reopening of the market.
