Our Vision & Manifesto
A Proper Market.
A place to Meet, Shop & Eat
A market for Ellesmere Port
We’ve taken taking the best of what we had, cleaned it up and added to it and transformed the market back into a thriving destination.
Whether you’re buying or selling, need to talk to expert traders, get things repaired, and pick up a good quality bargain the new market is for you. Food plays its part, and the market thrives as an inclusive and welcoming social space, with a cup of tea and some good value hot food.
Our transformed market is now a place for all the people of Ellesmere Port, and further afield; and for every generation to gather – a place to meet, shop and eat.
Here for all of us
It will be familiar to regulars who have been visiting for years, we will continue to have something for families with young children, and have somewhere for young adults to hang out without fear of being moved on.
It’s somewhere where you can work alone, with others, or try out new enterprises without big financial risk.
And always, it is somewhere to buy all sorts. Where it’s fun to browse, and get that feel good feeling when you find a bargain.
It’s our community market and we want everyone to enjoy it. It’s here for all of us.
Our manifesto below sets out clearly what the market aims to offer, we want everyone to play their part in making it a reality – customers, traders, stakeholders and market management.
Thank you to everyone that has helped us
We’d like to thank all the market traders, shoppers, and residents who have shared their hopes and vision for the market which have shaped our plans. The changes have provided a better space for Ellesmere Port’s traditional market offer to thrive, and something that traders and visitors can be proud of.
