Flea Market
The Flea Market will have a significant make-over also, to become a new flexible event and activity space adjoining the market hall.
Following a public vote on a shortlist of four options held during 2024, the public chose to retain its existing name. Over 620 votes were cast online via the market’s website.
The Flea Market will be transformed to create a flexible event space adjoining the market hall with its own entrance. This will enable the space to host a wider range of events including visiting markets, music, social and community events, alongside the popular current uses which include the original Flea Markets held weekly selling second-hand goods, craft fairs and Comic Con events which will continue to be held there.
As a result, we hope to attract more visitors to the town centre from across Ellesmere Port and the surrounding area.
